Sons of Anarchy S4E10 – Call of Duty

by Own the Shows

How can I not love an episode named after a GREAT video game that I am so overly addicted to?  Back in Charming, the heat is getting turned up on SOA and let’s just be real… This can’t end pretty!

As always, I was glued to the television for my Tuesday dose of Sons of Anarchy.  This 90 minute special has been on my mind all week after the gruesome beating we saw laid on Gemma last week.  I am not going to go scene by scene through this whole episode, I want to hit on three different things I saw that caught my attention and also some questions I have that I wouldn’t mind hearing other people’s thoughts on.

Chibs and Juice’s relationship seems to be becoming a very close “father-son” type of relationship over these past 6 episodes since Juice jumped out of that tree with the chain on his neck.  Tonight was no different.  After Kosi was killed by the land mine, random as hell by the way and TOTALLY caught me off guard, we see Juice yet again shaken up and showing no regard for his life as he basically pranced through the mine field back to safety.  The conversation that him and Chibs have in the bathroom was a really cool genuine moment in my opinion which was slightly ruined when Juice went ahead and checked in with Sheriff, so who knows if he is really in or out on the snitch deal.

Gemma.  Gemma. Gemma.  I think yet again it was a top notch performance by Sagal again in this episode, BUT the trailer for next week truly did have me saying… Seriously Gemma!?!  The trailer shows her pleading with Unser to stop Opie from killing Clay, after saying in last episode that he needs to be killed by the hand of a Son.  I went back and listened to it three or four times… She does not say HIS son from what I can tell.  Granted the trailer could be cut in a way that the meaning is changed (i.e. Wendy coming in this week, trailer made it seem like she did something awful, when in fact it was just Tara reacting).  I just hope Gemma isn’t back on the we need to save Clay bandwagon next week.  If she is she needs the crap knocked out of her again just to remind her.  Harsh?

And finally, other than Jax, my favorite character in all of the Charming… Opie.  He gave up on things with his porn star wife.  He is pissed at Jax.  He is already in a weird place in my opinion with the club due to Jax trying to get him pormoted, but Clay blantantly turning on that idea.  And now he is dealing yet again with Clay killing someone he loves.  The RAGE in his eyes during that scene with Unser, followed the pure sadness and dispair he showed when he first saw Piney.  Ryan Hurst did FINE job this episode.  Opie has consistently been one of the more interesting characters in my opinion.  The trailer for next week shows me two things.  Opie takes off the beanie, and it seems like he washed his hair… which means one thing… Someone is gonna die!

Funniest Line of the night…. “Tig you ok?” ” I am terrified, but I am totally erect”…. Blake thinks he said terrific but I swear after listening twice it was Terrified… who cares, I LOL’ed.

Speaking of Tig, I want to touch on him resigning as Sgt. In Arms.  Tig was brilliant tonight, there is so much love in that dude for Gemma that he was, I think, willing to put a bullet in Clay tonight.  He has been at odds with Clay for the entire season it seems and I think that you can now add him to the long list of people with a motive…

OK Question time….  If you have any opinions on these feel free to chime in!

Does Clay take a bullet this season?  Who pulls the trigger?

Anyone think Opie goes after Jax also for lies and everything that has gone on?

Can this show go on next season if Clay eats a bullet?

Hit me up!
